Fibernet Corp. (“Fibernet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Internet and network connectivity, data center and colocation, hosting and cloud services, managed IT, cybersecurity, backup and disaster recovery, and related technology services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our websites, customer relationships, facilities, and services.
This Privacy Policy is a privacy notice, not a service-level or commercial agreement. Customer-specific service, security, confidentiality, and data-processing obligations are governed by the applicable customer agreement.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Contact and account information, such as name, company, mailing address, email, telephone number, account identifiers, and authorized contacts.
- Billing and transaction information, such as billing addresses, payment information, invoices, and payment history.
- Service and technical information, such as IP addresses, network and device information, service configurations, usage information, logs, support records, and information generated through operation or support of services.
- Facility and security information, where applicable, such as authorized-user information, access records, credentials, visitor records, and video surveillance.
- Website and online information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring websites, cookies, and similar technologies.
- Communications and support information provided to sales, support, billing, security, or other Fibernet personnel.
We may also receive information from carriers, service providers, business partners, vendors, resellers, and other third parties involved in providing or supporting services.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- Provide, provision, operate, maintain, secure, and support products and services;
- Administer customer accounts and authorized-user access;
- Process payments and maintain billing and transaction records;
- Communicate about services, support, outages, maintenance, renewals, billing, and security;
- Troubleshoot, monitor, secure, and improve networks, systems, facilities, and services;
- Detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unauthorized activity;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, audit, and compliance obligations; and
- Communicate about Fibernet products and services where permitted by law.
3. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION
Fibernet does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information as reasonably necessary to operate our business, provide and support services, protect our systems and customers, or comply with law.
- Vendors, payment processors, telecommunications carriers, cloud and software providers, contractors, professional advisers, auditors, and other service providers;
- At your direction or with your authorization;
- As necessary to provide, provision, support, or troubleshoot requested services;
- To protect rights, security, property, or safety;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction; or
- When required or permitted by law or valid legal process.
4. CUSTOMER DATA AND HOSTED CONTENT
Customers may store, transmit, or process data using Fibernet colocation, hosting, cloud, backup, disaster recovery, managed IT, cybersecurity, connectivity, or similar services. Unless an applicable agreement states otherwise, Fibernet does not claim ownership of customer data or content.
Fibernet may access or process customer data as reasonably necessary to provide and support the applicable service, maintain security and service integrity, investigate incidents, comply with law, or as otherwise authorized by the customer or applicable agreement. Where Fibernet processes personal information on behalf of a business customer, that customer generally determines the purposes and means of processing and may be the appropriate point of contact for individual privacy requests.
5. PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payment information may be processed by Fibernet and/or third-party payment processors. Third-party processors operate under their own privacy and security practices.
6. COOKIES AND ONLINE TECHNOLOGIES
Fibernet may use cookies and similar technologies to operate websites and portals, remember preferences, understand usage, improve performance, maintain security, and support analytics or marketing. Browser settings may allow users to restrict or delete cookies, although doing so may affect functionality.
7. INFORMATION SECURITY
Fibernet maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, loss, or misuse. No network, system, facility, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. DATA RETENTION
Fibernet retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and as appropriate to provide services, administer customer relationships, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, regulatory, audit, tax, or accounting requirements.
9. CHILDREN
Fibernet services are not directed to children under 18, and Fibernet does not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children through its services.
10. PRIVACY REQUESTS
Individuals may contact Fibernet with questions or requests concerning personal information. Depending on applicable law, rights may include access, correction, or deletion of certain information. Fibernet may verify identity and may deny or limit a request where permitted by law or where Fibernet processes the information on behalf of a customer.
11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Fibernet websites and services may link to or integrate with unaffiliated third-party websites, software, platforms, carriers, applications, or services. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
12. LEGAL PROCESS AND PROTECTION
Fibernet may preserve, access, or disclose information when reasonably believed necessary or permitted by law or valid legal process, or to protect rights, security, property, or safety. Where legally permitted and appropriate, Fibernet may require requesting parties to follow applicable legal process.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Fibernet may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in services, practices, technology, security, or legal requirements. The current version will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date, and additional notice will be provided where required by law.
