Account and Billing
When you build a website and save it to your computer, no one else can access it. In order to have it publicly available, you need to rent space on a server from a hosting company. They connect your site to the internet, allowing anyone to access it.
What is a server?
The Internet is comprised of computers that share and deliver information to each other. These computers are called servers. In other words, we host your website on one of our servers, and that server makes your site available to the servers around the world that comprise the Internet. You can either rent out a piece of a server (shared hosting), rent an entire server to yourself (dedicated hosting), or rent a piece of a server in a virtualized environment that mimics a dedicated server (Cloud hosting).
What is cPanel for?
cPanel is a control panel that allows you to manage your hosting accounts in a very simple, easy-to-use way. With cPanel, you can access site files, check statistics, use FTP, create new email accounts, install WordPress and other applications, and create site backups.
How do I access cPanel?
To log in, type your domain into your Internet browser and add /cpanel at the end. If you’ve recently signed up, your domain may not have propagated yet – in that case, type in the IP address you received in your Welcome Letter, followed by :2082.
Your Welcome Letter also contains your default login and password. If you’re unable to find your Welcome Letter, please contact Support.
How do I upload files to cPanel?
- Log in to your cPanel.
- Click on “file manager.”
- Click the public_html folder or appropriate file.
- Click upload in the middle of the screen.
How do I learn all the other cool stuff about cPanel?
You check out their awesome tutorials! If you’re getting into the website game, it’ll be well worth it to learn cPanel inside and out.
Which type of hosting do I need?
We sell 4 different types of hosting: Shared, Windows, Cloud, and Dedicated. If you have a simple website idea (like a blog or small eCommerce site), shared hosting is probably the best and cheapest solution. You share a server with other site owners, but the resources are enough for most sites.
When you need a more robust solution, the next step up is a Cloud Server. It can accommodate more traffic and lets you have a bit more customization (such as choosing your OS). If that’s still not enough, your own dedicated server provides the most customization, most security (you’re not sharing), and most bandwidth.
If you’re not sure if you need Windows hosting, don’t get it. It’s mostly for developers who want to run Windows applications.
How do I set up WordPress?
Log into cPanel, scroll down to “Software and Services,” click on “Installatron Applications Installer,” select WordPress and install!
Why does it say my website isn’t secure?

How do I access my customer admin?
Upon signup, we created an account for you and set your password and username.
